School Rules and Regulations

It is expected that at the end of their academic career in the School, each student would be found worthy in Character and in Learning. It is a proven fact that discipline and learning are inseparable components of a whole. For this reason, among others, the following Rules as well as the Regulations that follow are formulated by the School to guide the behaviors and facilitate the actions of all Students in the School. It is also for the information of both Parents or Guardians and Teachers who must cooperate together in the arduous task of proper up bringing of the Child.

1.0. ATTENDANCE / PUNCTUALITY
1.1. Morning Assemblies, Classes, Games and other School organized activities are compulsory for all Students.
1.2. Students must be punctual at MorningAssemblies, Classes, Games and all other School organized activities.

NOTE: Every Morning at 7:40am, the first bell goes. At 7:45am, the second bell goes and Morning Assembly starts. Registration of Students begins at 7:55 a.m and ends at 8:10 a.m. Lessons start at 8:10 a.m.


2.0. STUDENT-STUDENT RELATIONSHIP
2.1. Students shall speak politely to School Prefects and other students at all times.
2.2. Instructions given by school prefects in the course of their duties must be obeyed.
2.3. Every Student shall cultivate a tolerant attitude towards all other students. Ill-treatment (e.g. bullying, extortion, etc) of one student by another in whatever form, is strictly forbidden.
2.4. Relationship between students must be decent and open.
2.5. Only clubs and societies approved by the school shall operate. Request for such approval shall be accompanied by a letter of sponsorship from a member of the Teaching staff who must certify that no fewer than 10(ten) students have indicated interest in the club / society and confirm his / her willingness to give general guidance.
2.6. All approved Clubs and Societies shall engage in activities that promote the good image of the School.

3.0. STUDENT - STAFF RELATIONSHIP
3.1 Students shall speak politely to, and behave respectfully before Staff at all times.

4.0. STUDENTS' WORK HABIT
4.1. Students shall complete all assigned work promptly and submit on
demand.

5.0. PERSONAL APPEARANCE
5.1. School Uniform shall be worn properly atall times. Students must be in Uniform when attending Lessons, Debates and all School related activities in, or oti'tside the School even during holidays. The School Uniform consists of:
(i)    White Short-Sleeved Shirt or Blouse sewn to the Elbow Point with the School badge.
(ii)   A pair of grey (Steel Colour) Shorts/Trousers for Boys and Plain Skirts/Pleated skirts for Girls in the Junior and Senior Secondary Schools respectively, sewn a little below the knees, with the recommended School Belt.
(iii)   A pair of Brown Sandals with white Socks or Black Shoes with grey socks for Boys and Black Shoes with White Socks for Girls in the Senior Secondary only.
(iv)  Games out-fit consist of a pair of black short and white T-Shirt for the School and one House Colour T-Shirt.
5.2. All non-Technical High School (THS) Students who come for Lessons  in the School Compound must be in. their respective School Uniforms.
5.3. Hair must always be kept trim, tidy and natural/plaited or woven as approved by the School.
5.4.  Students are required to be neat and natural in their dress and person at all times.                

6.0. STUDENT MOVEMENT 6.1. Students shall remain in their Classrooms/Study rooms (e.g. Library, Laboratories, Workshops, etc) when Lessons are on.
6.2. Movement from one place to another shall be along the Corridors or provided pathways.
6.3. Students shall remain in the School premises throughout the School day.


7.0. SCHOOL ORGANISED ACTIVITIES
7.1. SPORTS. The rules 1.1, 1.2 and 5.1 (iv)as stated above shall apply.
7.2. MANUAL LABOUR, The rules 1.1 and 1.2 as stated above shall apply.  

8.0. VISITATION TO STUDENTS .
8.1. Parents/Guardians shall only be allowed to see Students with the permission of the School Authority and in the Principal's Office.


9.0. STUDENTS' ATTITUDE
9.1. Students shall engage only in acceptable behaviour within the School premises and while on Uniform.
9.2. AlI bonafide Students remain Students of the School until after their Graduation ceremony. However, Ex-Students coming to the School for anything must be decently dressed.            


10.0 SANITATION  
10.1: Students shall keep themselves and the environment clean at all times.

11.0. GENERAL  
11.1 HOSTEL. Boarders are to conduct themselves according to the Hostel Rules and Regulations.
